Young Antiquities

Young Antiquities, a series of media objects, embraces relationships between time and physical presence, a utopian post-material world and the reality of decomposition. Using an array of 3D capture devices we translated textile sculptures from our Video Taxidermy series into virtual form. These digital re-compositions are presented as animated virtual sculptures in GIF form in an online exhibition at klausgallery and here as 3D objects ready to download and print.

We'd love to see what you can make out of these translated objects and we hope that they can continue to evolve in various forms across the globe. Please print one! Let us know if and when you do: email us at lovidlovid@gmail.com.

We will be posting images of all prints online and will be showing many of them IRL. Email us for information, questions, or submissions.

Young Antiquities is made possible with funds from the New York State Council on the Arts in Partnership with Wave Farm: Media Arts Assistance Fund, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, Electronic Media and Film Program, with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
